A Major Advantage of Simple Repairs

Okay, yeah, simple repairs are great because anyone can do them.

You don’t have to hire a contractor to caulk your window, or find and seal simple gaps.

You don’t need to spend hundreds for replacing your furnace filter.

In fact, there are a lot of advantages to simple repairing.

But one to me stands out as very important and worthy of mentioning.

A simple repair when it comes to plugging energy holes generally does not have expensive consequences if you don’t repair correctly.

If you do a major repair, lets say by replacing a window, and you do it wrong, the repair or replacement of the window would cost hundreds, not including the wasted cost of your installation.

But if you mess up a caulking job, you’re no worse off than you were before. Heat may still be lost, but at least you don’t have to spend hundreds to get it right. You can simply peel off or remove the old caulk and do it over again.

Simple, easy and it costs next to nothing.

Most of the simple repairs are like this. And a lot of them in this site you can simply “roll back” or remove if they don’t work out. Very few are permanent. Try that with a larger more expensive repair!
