Absolutely, insulation is paramount. In fact, as I stated in my observation of the room, it is inadequately insulated. Unfortunately, adding insulation was not an option because of the short term nature.

Plus, space heaters can still be used in a room that has adequate insulation to aid in comfort, rather than turning up the thermostat in the whole house.

Awsome post, but you know, if you do not have insulation in your home, it is wasted energy, and hurts the enironment, it is better to have insulation as you warm up the place faster and keep the energy.
