I think so. The point of the kit from what I read is to DIY, meaning do it yourself. Of couse you may have to have a professional energy auditor come in and do some stuff for you. Like perhaps look at the insulation. Or fix your furnace or tune it up or whatever.

The new energy audit kits at energyaudits.net represent a big leap forward in DIY home energy auditing. They present homeowners with the ability to conduct their own professional quality energy audit on their homes or apartments with no extra contractor help needed.

So, big deal, right? The kit did that before.

Now, however there are two kits to better fit the DIY in your household. There's the starter kit, which has a lot of information about basic auditing. The information in the starter kit alone will set you on the path to saving energy and money – and its so simple anyone can do it.

The professional kit contains everything the started kit does, but its kind of like the starter kit on professional steriods – it takes professional concepts, like infra-red imaging and makes it easy for homeowners to understand. It also presents some really helpful tips and tricks to replicate the results of the pros – at a mere fraction of the cost. And it contains calculators and innovative charts that grab ahold of you and show you where you are spending money – and where you could save it!
