This is a big unit 25,0000 BTU, it is new, just a loud operating noise. How can I insulate it to operate quietly? I have insulated the outside, window is tight, it is bolted to the window frame. It is so noisy we can not watch TV in the same room?????? Thank You

There will be a possible problem in thermostat or filters. To make sure of things according to its defect, you should call a professional air conditioner technician to check more and give more intervention on it.

I think the loud noise may also come from the dirty air conditioner filter. Therefore, I always clean it regularly. And I am absolutely agree this procedure"If you had to replace the filter, make sure the filter is the right size and fit appropriately"

Thank's a lot for the useful information
